We did it! After two years of dreaming, hoping and planning, ILAC hosted its biggest event of the year: CPF Toronto from May 6–8, 2022.
In total, 450 delegates from dozens of countries around the world and across Canada came together, including university and college partners, international agents, industry experts and ILAC pathway and global sales teams.
Below is a recap of the events in case you missed it or want to save and share some of the memories!
Pre-CPF Local Sessions, May 5
New this year, the Pre-CPF Local Sessions were uniquely tailored to local higher education partners and agents based in and around Ontario, Canada.
Presented by Air Canada, the one-day event featured opening remarks from visionary co-founder of Apply Board, Meti Basiri, and a panel discussion with industry leaders from ILAC, IDP Connect, ICEF, Edvisor, Lester B. Pearson School Board, and Illume Student Advisory Services. Click here to see all the photos from Pre-CFP.
ILAC Student Fair, May 6
Every year, ILAC organizes a Higher Education Student Fair as part of the Canada Partnership Forum (CPF) events in Toronto.
Hundreds of international students dropped by the Toronto Reference Library to meet face-to-face with ILAC university and college pathway partners. Check out the photos on the CPF Facebook page.
CPF Welcome Reception, May 6

CPF Toronto Sessions, May 7 & 8
The Canada Partnership Forum (CPF) is designed to showcase Canada's top colleges and universities to higher education agents from around the world in a unique and enjoyable format.
Each educational institution had their own branded presentation room in the ILAC Dream Building over the two days. Agents received individual schedules and attended the training sessions in small groups. In between sessions, delegates had time to set up additional meetings, network, eat and relax! Canadian Pub Night, May 7
On Saturday night, CPF delegates experienced a typical Canadian Pub Night at ILAC’s favourite watering hole, the Firkin on Bay.
Hosted by guard.me International Insurance, the evening featured a surprise visit from Toronto Mayor John Tory, followed by guest speaker and Holocaust educator, Max Eisen. Both guests spoke of the power of words and education to change the world, and many delegates were moved to tears. See all the photos from the pub night here.
ILAC’s 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner, May 8
What can we say – it was the party of the year! Delegates were welcomed by Kevin Weaver, VP Academic and incoming President and CEO of Georgian College, followed by emotional speeches and shout-outs from ILAC’s co-founders, Jonathan Kolber and Ilan Cohen.
The evening program also included personal video messages from around the world, a moose jumping out of a cake (it was our mascot, Stanley!) and choreographed dancers. Guests enjoyed food, drinks and music from around the world as the party continued into the night. The photos say it all...check them out on the CPF Facebook page!
ILAC Fam Tours, May 9-12
International agents had the option of registering for fam tours after CPF Toronto, including campus visits organized by Georgian College, Mohawk College, Navitas Ontario -Toronto Metropolitan University International College, and Wilfrid Laurier International College, St. Clair, and Windsor University, Braemar College, ISX Canada and Humber College.
