CPF São Paulo 2023 | Recap

Updated: Dec 6, 2023

On September 13th, ILAC hosted the Canadian Partnership Forum in São Paulo, Brazil. The event took place at the beautiful Praça Pamplona, located in the picturesque Jardim Paulista neighbourhood in the city centre.

With its charming streets, fancy cocktail bars, high-end fashion boutiques, Michelin-starred restaurants, and beautiful parks, it is no wonder this area has been dubbed the 'Manhattan of São Paulo'!

Over 100 delegates joined us for an exciting day of Canadian higher education training for international agents and opportunities for networking and relationship building.

"It was a pleasure to share so much information with our dear agents," said Tatiana Menniti, Sales and Recruitment Director for Brazil at ILAC. "Thank you all for coming, and a special thank you to all our pathway partners who support us in this market."

The event featured new program updates at colleges and universities across Canada, including Saskatchewan Polytechnic University, MacEwan University, Conestoga College, Sheridan College, Douglas College, Bow Valley College, Farleigh Dickinson University, Georgian College and Fanshawe College.

The day began with a morning welcome reception and a panel discussion with Sheridan College, Conestoga College, Georgian College & Fanshawe College on the topic of navigating new immigration measures and their impact on local markets.

Afterwards, attendees were invited to join a series of roundtable sessions, in which each higher education institution had the opportunity to present and discuss program opportunities for Brazilian students.

Following the sessions, there was a panel with Saskatchewan Polytechnic, MacEwan University, Bow Valley College & ILAC Higher Education that explored the advantages of new provinces for international students, as well as a panel featuring Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Douglas College & FDU that highlighted the trends and opportunities specific to the labour market in British Columbia.

After an intensive day of meaningful discussions and a final update from Air Canada, delegates mingled and enjoyed refreshments at the cocktail reception hosted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic University.
